PICTURES AND REPORTS - 100,000 visits
When we started some things in life often start without great intentions of becoming popular, recognized and so on. We start by a personal need, a need that many who are on the outside do not understand.
But when you start a blog, you open a channel of communication which exposes you to hell. You not only get praise, you get a lot of kick, a lot of criticism and rude too many messages (I did not logical that they publish). You begin knowing that deep down you like to have feedback from people that "you ever read", if only through periodic visits to your blog. Many say no, they write for themselves and I sincerely do not believe it. (((-:
Me was not different. Anyone who knows me knows that I always need to share what I think and feel with everyone who was within my reach. They know that I am by nature forming opinions, or that person who is always willing to give his point of view, in order that people open their horizons and begin to think about everything, just accept everything as absolute truth. My intention is not that people have the same opinion that I (before it was ... hahaha), but they have an opinion (maturity is everything in this life). That they use the topics I post here on this blog for example, to simply reflect on the issues addressed here.
Is that what serves any kind of communication: prospects for change, to whet the curiosity of others, to make us think, to awaken one who refuses to reflect on what part of her world.
And I did. Inaugurated the blog on 19/12/2006 and today 31/05/2009 (almost 2 ½ years) the blog has hit the 100,000 hits mark! (((-:
All though to other bloggers that can not be anything but for me it is much more than I expected when I started. The blog has brought me not just visitors, brought me special people that I met and bringing to my real life, brought me informed and intelligent people that help enrich the increasingly all posts launched, brought me a channel where I can express my indignities and my passions, brought me joy when I read messages from people you do not speak for a long time, ie it destroys barriers and reduces distances.
Thanks to all for making that kick off one way! And of course, remain with me, because we still have much to "chatting" on here, ok?

MBA - Nothing like a race to vent
Today I did a test from those in the MBA: microeconomics, macroeconomics and economic policy. Beauty, eh!? And know how long we need to know "everything" and already being prepared for the race? 3 WEEKS. Yes! But ok, I survived to tell this story, then're worth.
I've done three races so far, but none was as funny as this. Why? Because I inadvertently used the evidence to vent and I'm not impressed to have been depressed after that. The questions were in part on economic policy and there he was asking us about what conflicts exist in our country in relation to policies related to social security of citizens. At that time I read "social security" and "conflict", I immediately thought of our system of retirement and unemployment insurance. Yeah, I could not, I had to vent.
Explained what he wanted to hear, namely that conflicts exist because of different interests that divide society into different groups of stakeholders and gain the strongest, or the government (that I do not write ... hehehe). I explained that in our society must contribute when working with registered social health system and helping guarantee our poor public retirement, but that the social health system is a &% *%, and (read the comments about it, because I discovered after publishing this post INSS and SUS are two separate things that work), so if you have a little more money, the citizen pays the insurance more expensive private insurance to ensure a happier and healthier old age. But many people who have no work, stops paying and still get the benefit by age. Is it fair? That's where the conflict comes to an ideal division of wealth among citizens. Anyway.
Then came the story of unemployment insurance. I explained that in Brazil is not deducted from our earnings a share to ensure the unemployment insurance in the country when we were unemployed and only have a right to receive help to get through three months (full info about that item in the comments), which obliges us to catching up to do. And if the government force them to give all workers a percentage of salary to fund the unemployment in the country? Conflict in sight. Do you believe that the money we paid would actually be used for this purpose in its entirety? Do you really think this would solve the unemployment problem in Brazil? Look around and think with a good unemployment insurance would you want to go back to look for work. I do not. (((-:
But worse than the outburst was a "gaffe" intercultural. In one exercise I had to give an example of how an external factor can negatively interfere in a process in society. In class we discussed about it taking as an example a case where the edge of a river has a sawmill wood residues playing in the river flow and in another section of the river has a fish breeder. As I do not remember how exactly locksmiths in German (Schloss), I decided to close the sawmill and open a chemical plant that produces toxic effluents. Ai said that the industry dumping toxic waste in the river, was causing many fish breeder fish got sick and that he was taking damage, while the industry still ensuring their profit at the expense of the poor health of fish. And then? And oh what a German will take to process it in the outside world is very country where the chemical (although forbidden) also play chemical waste in the river beds. And here it is, I believe, impossible. Well, I wrote this whole long story and just the thing I realized when I finished the thought. So, just for security, I wrote at the end that in Brazil there is still such a situation, despite being prohibited by law, but he could replace "toxic effluent" with "warm water", ie the habitat of the fish was being changed the mean temperature increase of that river. If it makes sense? I dunno, just know it's hard to explain what is "jack" for German. ((((-:
PS1: retirement in Germany is a beauty, but also has many people who criticize (as always and everywhere), it has MUCH MORE here than old people in the market to ensure that the retirement system continues to function like this. According to my teacher has enough project and voted to change the system, to try to make it more fair, because today a good share of the contribution comes from expatriates who are temporarily living here (it was one of the solutions that the government found to plug the hole temporarily, as according to Arlete informed me below when the employee may require his contribution back to back - read more in comments). Already the lives of unemployed here WAS a paradise, but this year a lot has changed and the guys will have to start to move if they want to keep their Mercedes in the garage. 're Laughing? The deal was too good, however many people became unemployed on purpose as they became better with the help of government than killing themselves during the week.
PS2: I'm not comparing. I spoke of a system and others, good thing and bad thing pro German and Brazilian pro only bad thing. )))-:
PS3: the best system is the system of Darwin, ie the system of natural selection. Tá ai, I will mount a political party when you return. Very soon I write my proposal to government for you here. (((-:
WORLD CRISIS - even the "zones" in Germany have been affected
The headline of the article I saw on a program here in Germany was "Wirtschaftskrise im Puff (brothel)" (Crisis in the brothel business). Well, it seems that even the sex out of the house (literally) will be abated during the current global financial crisis. Well, now f ... everything and in the literal sense of the word right! (((-:
Maaaaaaaaas is at these times of crisis that the creativity of the human being emerges. Some houses of prostitution are launching promotions to not lose their captive customers. In one, the client gets a "Gutschein" (discount coupon) so you can use in the payment of washing your car or refueling it. Yeah, prostitute now also decided to put his hand on your machine (car) and they make the service as usual, and with bare faces and mouths. But most impressive is that they were already doing it in the winter, where the temperature was always below 10 degrees. Now then the temperature is above 15 degrees (oooo) and that they will profit from it! Yeah, leave your prejudices in the closet and begin to see the hottest opportunities. (((-:
But back to reporting, she also makes a warning to all women here in Germany (in case) should be wary if your husband is really going to drive to the gym every night and also be careful if the tank it (the car) is often full and if the machine it (the car) is frequently cleaned. OR relax and enjoy, after all if he is earning a discount, you also already out on profit. Tuuuuudo depends on the point of view. ((((((-:
MADE IN BRAZIL - BRAZILIAN abroad Hair Removal

Now I'm taking a more active life here in Germany, that is, living every single day with the local culture and intensely real, I'm hearing a lot about the opinion of Germans and foreigners about us, Brazilians. In general they see us as a happy people, easy to socialize (too much), outrageous (they said that we are the noisiest in the world, even more than the Italians, can you?) And that Brazilian women are the ones that speak more the world (seriously? hahaha). Yeah, I had to hear these things many times and I'm accustomed to now.
But one thing I heard, made me laugh a lot after getting, with great difficulty, to understand what my colleague was saying. One day we went on break time and went to the cafeteria for a coffee, or something already routine. Once there, each one of us grabbed a coffee and sit down together at a small table for chatting until it was time to return to "torture" (after lecture in German is not, believe me, my hobby). There were six women from different countries: Brazil, Ecuador, Albania, China, Kazakhstan and Egypt. They had asked me something about Brazil and will talk, talk comes, here it starts a very interesting dialogue between myself and the wife of Kazakhstan.
She asked me all ceremonious: "Can I ask you something a little intimate?" And I replied without thinking: "Sure." Then she asked me what I wanted to know, but using "half-words" and I could not understand what she meant, I had only understood that it was something that was done in Brazil and abroad that had to do with "the persecuted." But we are, no kidding, 5 minutes playing guessing (me and the other girls) to try figure out what the woman was talking about. Behold, at some point the Ecuadorian begins to understand and question for her: "You're talking about something related to women and about using bikini?". And then, despite the question too weird and indirect, she said: "SIIIIMMM." That was when I joined "Brazil-Bikini-Persecuted" and came to the conclusion that she was talking about .... WAXING! Affff ...
Yeah, what she wanted to know? She wondered if it was true that the Brazilian woman shaves EVERYTHING. I killed myself laughing at the question, for it was there that I realized how everyone generalizes everything. I explained to her that, yes there are women in Brazil who shaved EVERYTHING, do not know if most are. He said that I think most who shave, shave and leaves a "Hitler-style mustache." Well, needless to say they just laughed at with that, huh?! (((-:
And at the end of all this chaos communication, she explained that both in her country, as the country of several known there is a way to shave super famous he calls "Hair Removal Brasileira" (Brazilian Wax) and there all the girls agreed and said which is even in all that country is now. If I already know? Kind of yes, because another colleague of mine here had also asked me on our way to shave, but I did not know that the thing was so famous.
And it's so famous that walks up to the outside world by creating confusion. Just read a case in the Internet , relying on owners of Brazilian waxing salons in New Jersey, United States, who declared "war" to local government. That's because the state of New Jersey banned shaving genital track, to the waxing "the Brazilian way". According to one, the problem is the community tupiniquim ends up being harmed by some American who venture to do the waxing and the Brazilian ended up hurting some customers. I eh.
Well, when you meet a stranger and she gets you staring and sizing you up, believe me: she is wondering if their is also peladinha. ((((-:
Expatriates - Feelings of not "belong"
Are already some months I am about to write about it, but today I woke up with a boring tristezinha who became a river of tears, that is, if spilled, it's past time to share what I feel.
In this situation of living outside our country, we met several people profiles. Here in Germany have met people from different countries, from different backgrounds, from different cultures and with diverse life histories. Because we are foreigners in Germany, where we end up coming because we feel that one understands the other and hence we always discuss about the situation of living in a culture different from ours.
Based on this group of approx. 100 foreigners (including Brazilian) I met so far, this split into a few categories: foreigners who are better here than at home, foreigners who do not see to get back to his people and his culture, not like foreigners that much of the new country, but still manage to live well, like aliens from anywhere in the world more than the country itself and that what most do is criticize the country of origin and praise the country they now live; foreigners who hate "having" to stay outside the country and as a means of "venting" spend all their days cursing the local culture in the country where it is "trapped" foreigners who love the country of origin, but who seek to hold the bar to live outside because they are seeking personal growth through the opportunity to have contact with many world cultures, foreigners who do not believe in anything, not to have status and be there no matter where they live or where they come from, what matters is power "have" something more to show the advantage in relation to what other people have.
This attempt to show that the people are here for different reasons and many also want to leave for different reasons. Who's right? Who is wrong? NO ONE IS RIGHT AND NO ONE IS WRONG. They are just different views. Life stories are just different. NEEDS are just different.
In which group I meet? Yeah, that's why I've been thinking a lot, because I'm trying to understand what bothers me so much and it makes me want to go back to Brazil. Everyone that I know you ask me, especially the Germans. This week five Germans asked me if I wanted to go back to Brazil and when I answered that it is logical that yes, they asked me with surprise: "But WHY ?????". What answer? Now why, because I LOVE my country, love the people that I met there, I love our culture, our love joy, our strength and, above all, love being Brazilian. I am proud of indeed! But I did not say the main reason: I want to go back there because I feel I "belong" and I, Maira, I have this need, the need to belong, to feel that I belong and I make a difference. Here I am and always will be foreign and today I woke up tired of being foreign. From time to time get tired. Then move on and try to survive abstract, but that feeling always comes back.
When you think it over, someone else appears reminding you that you is not here, asking you about their culture, comparing his country with him and vice versa. In the beginning is interesting, but with time and with the many times that happens, it irritates. I can not stand when all else to explain the same stories, do not take any more hearing the same questions, can not stand to have to always deal with the same European arrogance. Tired. Tires know that no matter what you say or what you do, they will never understand you, not because they were born in the same culture that you and vice versa. Yes you can and should simply accept that things are as they are point and therefore understand it, only who was born there or lived there since a child. They have no other way. You do not understand because you do not belong. But we must learn to accept.
At least that's what I try every day, try to hear what they say and filter. Yes, we have much to learn from other cultures, but they also have much to learn with us, you may be sure. And no matter to which country you go, the problems are ever alike. The difficulties, sorrows, joys, are very, very much like it. This is because the problem is not in what you like or not the local culture, but the fact that you "do not belong" to that place, that culture. That's it. Simply this.
Now, if you live in another country and not feel it, "go ahead"! Good for you, but even so you're better than anyone. The only difference between you and the people who want to return "home" is that you have different needs. This alone, therefore respects.
Wanting to belong is not sin, is human and it is this group which I belong: the group of foreigners who feel the need to belong.
ONLY THE GOOD - Blogosphere Police: another point of view

The so-called "blogosphere" is the community formed by ordinary people who decide whether or not express through a personal website called "Blog". This community is subdivided into several other communities, who come together for discussing / presenting things on the same topic and united, and of course, become stronger and reach even to influence public opinion.
Yes! Bloggers can be dangerous, especially when they decide to say what the media says and do not show that nobody wants to see. Want the best example I found it until now? A "Police blogosphere." Yes, many police found in this virtual community, a way they can tell the "truth" about the view of those who humbly serves the corporation at police in Brazil. I've read a bit of police several blogs and was impressed not only with the narrative, but also with fine writing, worthy of a professional documentary.
I was extremely happy to have found this blogosphere, mainly because they inhabit it views that make us think and, above all, make us confident that there are active SIM police and worthy.
Sorry the term, but I think a SHIT this mania that we have (including me) to get the "rotten orange" of a nation or a corporation and summarize the whole based on that. HATE to hear that our police officers for nothing, which are all corrupt and inhumane. YES there are so many, but not all peloamordedeus!
Decide to work in the police is a valuable decision, since the beginning who does this is because it wants to ensure the good of all citizens of a city. It's a beautiful profession, and yes he deserved to be better paid, after all, they endanger their own lives to save the lives of people they do not even know.
I saw something here in Germany and I was dying of envy. Here there are several police toys, such as police stand, dolls and police etc.. And one day I saw a father buying a trolley of these for your child, or for the German children seems to me that the police is an example and gets to be a childhood dream to be a policeman. Really wanted this to happen in Brazil. Really. And who needs to change that image is not only the police: we are. If we keep feeding that the police are corrupt, will only corruptible people choose this profession and this is our fault too! Well, this story of police and thief, so we're not always be defended as victims. Want an example? Toma! And do not tell me that this is fiction, because we all know that this is TRUTH.
We're forgetting how to police the blogosphere that they publicly disclose their fight against this "image" misleading and against all consequences of misuse of the corporation at. Think about it. But before you surf the blogosphere and that the sale take the media / society has placed on our eyes.

SOLIDARITY - Help the North and Northeast after the floods
Personally, I'm away, but it is not and should not be an excuse for doing nothing. Unfortunately I am far away from the news from Brazil and when I decide to take a "peek", usually see some good things and many bad.
This time it took to sink in what is happening in relation to the floods which have hampered the northeastern and northern people. The damage is so massive, as the damage that occurred in the south of the country recently, but the solidarity actions and the focus is not the same. Why? No, I do not have the answer and that is why I'm really sad about it. There is no reason, after all is the same people, the same country. Why do we still think that Brazil comes down to the southern? What arrogance is it that makes us "foreigners" within our own country and culture? It is disgusting and must stop! And the worst is to see that the bureaucracy is still used to apologize for the indifference of our own "national" government. Regrettable.
But for now, we can start to do something to change this reality: solidarity.
Rede Globo, SESI and CUFA assembled a network of solidarity to raise donations for flood victims in the North and Northeast.
The punishing rains 330 towns in this region and more than 1 million people were affected in the states of Ceara, Maranhao, Piaui, Paraiba, Rio Grande do Norte, Bahia, Alagoas, Acre, Amazonas, Pará and Pernambuco.
Donations in Sao Paulo can be taken to a collection of posts from the Central Federation of Favelas (CUFA), and in the other states listed at the link below, to the posts of SESI.
All material collected will be delivered to the Civil Defense for distribution to the population of states affected.
What can be donated:
Non-perishable food (rice, beans, sugar, oil, powdered milk, pasta and manioc flour), mineral water, clothes, blankets, sheets, pillowcases and napkins.

FEAST - Fruhlingsfest 2009 in Stuttgart

April 11 started the " Spring Festival "here in Stuttgart and ended on 03 May. Ro and I went twice already and has always been wonderful. It's a party super famous here in the style of the Oktoberfest in Munich, but on a small scale. What is "good" at this party? Drinking and fall. It goes without saying that if Germany was always like that, I lived here easy, easy, huh?! (((-:

This time I went with some friends, but without the Rô, who had planned to go skiing with colleagues from his company laaa Austria. It is for that reason alone they can not tell which was PERFECT because really missed him. Chu-ru-ru-ru. (((-:
Besides the feast in itself be cause for joy, I had another reason that I could not hide: being a fan of the Corinthians! I saw some people looking at me crooked, but not called, because I'm sure it was St. Paulinus. Poor guys. (((-: In return, I arranged for my head with an Italian who recognized the symbol and "pasted" on me. Affff ... As soon as we arrived at the table, asking what time he came and was there when I said the name he said "Ah! Selection." I thought, "That guy more enlightened." But then he came back on the table about 2 times just to toast with me, you can!? Ai thought: "That guy clarified more boring." All I know is he must have noticed by my guys that I was not enjoying that goes back and forth and there was. Good. The guy was Italian, but looked like Maradona. Sai alligator over there! (((-: maaa thankfully still Italians are crazy, but indispensable in the mess, like the one pictured below. This is pinéuzinho! (((-:

The coolest thing to me, that was the first time I could understand many things that they sang, chanted and spoke in German. Furthermore, we were very lucky with our neighbors to the table because they were very nice, and best, even Germans in the region. Of course I gave my card to two of them, for "networking" is all, folks! Actually, I just giving my card, because when we speak we were from Brazil, they were all excited and already have one trip planned to go. Ai is logical that I offered to give tips and everything else they need. Now just hope for them not being assaulted. (((-:

The only bad thing was our fellow behind the desk. (Atencao!) e outros tantos “Vorsicht!” (Cuidado!). Eu lavo a alma nessas horas. (((-:

AMEIIII turma! Munique aqui vamos nós… seguuuuuuuuuuuuuuura! (((-:

FESTA – Dia das mães deveria ser…

… todos os dias!
That's right.
And the funniest is that I feel that as a woman when it comes as close to being the mother, the need to show our love and gratitude to our parent increases tremendously. Is it just me that is? Seriously! I realized now that I started thinking about being a mother, my mother feel more special inside of me. I think of how it was difficult for her to create four fihos and still work out. Think how difficult it was to give up so many dreams, since the generation of our parents, maybe it was as easy as it is for us now. Many started to work really early and gave everything to try to ensure the minimum of comfort and to study their children, giving us perspectives that they themselves had not.
Now think how much she strive to make the best and how it was difficult for her to realize that despite having done all, still was not enough. Or even to admit later that was wrong too, trying to hit. It hurts to hear this, because many times I was one of those ungrateful daughters who tells the mother that she was wrong and should have given more, should have done more, should have been mae. Yes, I already told this to my mother and my conscience only knows how much I regret it.
Anyway, all this to say: "Mom I love you and not just today, let alone to be today. Love you from the day I was born because I am a piece of you and that I can not ever deny and not want to. I'm your daughter and her friend. I'm your fan and also often critical of his duty. I am what I am, because you gave everything that was possible so that I could be myself and find my way. I am what I am because I do not abandon me at any time, always forgiving me for my ingratitude and by my anger result of immaturity. I love you because you are who you are and not only for being my mother. Not only is the blood that unites us is soul, is love, is life. "
To all the mothers, today and always, CONGRATULATIONS for being just "mothers"!
